How to use the Kanon Cricket Ball Machine for Batting, Fielding & Bowling Practice

You will soon realize how much the Kannonball cricket bowling machine can help your cricket team’s practice sessions when you see the results on the cricket field playing against other teams. It really makes a big difference in their performance.

Today, we are going to go through some of our suggested exercises to train your team, but with a bit of imagination, I’m sure you will, like others, come up with some of your own.

The reverse training drill is one of many important exercises. The Kannonball cricket bowling machine is set to full pitch, which is ideal for practicing front foot drives with a slight adjustment to the bowling simulator. Attached back foot strokes can also be practiced. Angling the cannon offside of the player enables a cut shot drive from stance, placing the red plugs in the rotor and slowing down the ball.

Speed simulates spin bowling, allowing batsmen to practice moving out to drive.

Impart swing to leg or offside with a swing adapter pull shot to create bounce. The bowling simulator is used to imitate a pull shot.

If the pace is too slow, you can move the Kannonball cricket bowling machine closer to the player. Using all the rotor plugs during a training session allows cricket teams to return to the crease before the next ball delivery.

Fielding skills such as high catching can be practiced by closing the speed regulator and angling the barrel upwards.

For skim catching, lower the barrel angle to a player’s chest height and have them stand 15 to 20 meters away. By placing the drive arm off-center, agility field of drills can be attained with the help of a well-placed cricket bat.

Players can work on close catching techniques, one-handed intercept, and short retrieve.

You can combine two fielding exercises in one drill and work on skills training and fitness simultaneously, giving players an optimal training session.
